We often overlook how much caregivers do. Many have little relief in caring for their loved one, cooking, cleaning, laundry and more. If you know a caregiver, offer to give them some relief on April 7, 2016. It’s National No Housework Day. Give them a chance to catch up on a book, go out with friends or simply kick back and watch TV.
At Patient Scrubs®, we are closest to caregivers, people in rehab and medical treatments. Why? Because these are the people who need and wear our two-piece garments. These are the people who want to maintain their dignity during medical treatments. They want to make daily dressing easier. But, there are many other people who deserve a break on National No Housework Day.
Stay-at-Home Parents: These are the do-it-all people. They help their little ones with homework. Take care of everything at home. Cook. Clean. Bathe. Laundry. Run a pick-up service for the kids. Plan playdates and more. Who deserves a day off more than a stay-at-home parent?
Working Parents: When both parents work, the kids have a nanny, day care or after-school care. At the end of the workday, these folks make a mad dash to pick up their kids for playdates, sports games, school functions and more. It’s always a juggling act to take care of everything. And, they still have home duties to manage: cooking, cleaning, laundry, yard, etc. Yes, working parents need the break that National No Housework Day offers.
Working People: Even if you aren’t charged with taking care of little ones, sick or elderly people, you probably have a very busy life. Working day in and day out is tiring. And, taking care of a home is no easy task. Give yourself a break this Thursday. Bring home dinner, put your feet up and rest.
Bottom line—many of us deserve a day off from housework. This Thursday, find an hour or two for yourself. You’ll feel better for it.
This Patient Scrubs® lady wishes you and your family a Happy National No Housework Day. Kick back and enjoy.
